About 2plumbers.ca

2plumbers.ca is a 24/7 live call-connection service for plumbing emergencies and same-day plumbing in Toronto and the GTA, operated by PatchLead (1001689754 Ontario Inc.). You call once; we answer in under 60 seconds, confirm the problem and your location, and connect you on the same call to an independent plumber who has agreed in writing to hold the licences Ontario requires and is available now. You pay nothing to use the service; the contractors pay PatchLead for the connection. We are not the contractor.

Who operates this site

The site is owned and run by PatchLead (1001689754 Ontario Inc.), an Ontario corporation with its registered office at 1025 King St E, Unit 107, Cambridge, ON N3H 3P5. PatchLead is named in the consent you give when you submit a request, in the privacy policy and terms published on this site, and in the footer of every page. There is no separate company called 2plumbers.

PatchLead also operates 2hvac.ca, which does the same thing for heating and air conditioning. The two sites share one operator, one phone system and one set of policies.

What the service is, and is not

It is a phone line, answered around the clock, that connects a homeowner with a plumbing problem to one independent plumber who covers their area and is available now. It is also an online request form for work that can wait, which ends in the same live phone connection during calling hours.

It is not a plumbing company. PatchLead holds no plumbing licence, sends no vans, and does no work in your home. It does not quote prices, schedule appointments, guarantee workmanship or take payment for plumbing. Those are all between you and the plumber you are connected to.

The plumbers

The plumbers in the network are independent Ontario businesses. To join, they agree in writing to hold the licences, permits and insurance their work requires: a Skilled Trades Ontario certificate of qualification for plumbing (306A), and a TSSA gas certificate for any gas work. They set their own prices and their own hours, and they choose which kinds of jobs and which areas they take.

We do not verify each licence ourselves, and we say so. Ask the plumber for their licence number before work begins. If a plumber you were connected to did not behave as a licensed professional should, tell us at support@patchlead.ca; a contractor who breaks the agreement is removed from the network.

Your information

When you call or submit a request we collect your name, phone number, postal code, and a description of the problem, and calls are recorded. That information goes to the one plumber you are connected to, so they know who they are talking to and where you are. It is not sold to lead marketplaces, data brokers or lists of contractors.

The full account of what we collect, why, how long we keep it and who can see it is in the privacy policy. The privacy choices page explains how to withdraw consent, see what we hold, or have it corrected, and every route on it reaches a real mailbox.

Why the service exists

Finding a plumber during an emergency usually means calling down a list until someone answers, or filling in a form that sells your details to five companies who all call back at once. Neither is what you want at midnight with water on the floor.

The idea behind 2plumbers.ca is to do the ringing-around for you, once, live, and connect you to the one plumber who picked up. The plumber pays for that connection, not the homeowner, and only when the call was worth having. That keeps the incentive where it belongs: on connecting you to someone who can actually help.

About this service

Is 2plumbers.ca legitimate?

Yes. It is operated by PatchLead (1001689754 Ontario Inc.), an Ontario corporation, and that name appears in the footer, the consent you give, and the published privacy policy and terms. The phone number is answered by our own system, and every plumber you are connected to is an independent Ontario business that has agreed in writing to hold the licences its work requires.

Who operates 2plumbers.ca?

PatchLead (1001689754 Ontario Inc.), based in Ontario, with its registered office in Cambridge. PatchLead runs the phone line, the assistant that answers it, the online request form and this website. It also operates 2hvac.ca for heating and air conditioning under the same policies.

Is 2plumbers.ca a plumbing company?

No. It is a call-connection service. PatchLead holds no plumbing licence and does no work in your home. When you call, you are connected live to an independent plumber, and everything about the job, the price and the schedule is agreed directly with that plumber, not with us.

Does 2plumbers.ca charge me anything?

No. Calling the line and using the online request are free, and nothing is added to your bill. You pay the plumber directly for any work you agree to, at their price. PatchLead is paid by the contractors in its network, not by homeowners.

Will my number be shared or sold?

Your name, number, postal code and problem description go to the one plumber you are connected to. They are not sold to lead marketplaces, data brokers or lists of contractors. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is kept and for how long, and the privacy choices page lets you withdraw consent or ask for a copy.

How do I know the plumber is licensed?

Every plumber in the network agrees in writing to hold the licences Ontario requires, but we do not verify each one ourselves. Ask the plumber for their Skilled Trades Ontario licence number before work starts, and for a TSSA certificate if the job involves gas. Licensed tradespeople expect the question and answer it readily.
